MemberCould anybody be so kind and take some time explaining how the
room list of the “user rooms” work.1. When i create a room, it usually doesnt show up in the list at first,
(at least i cant see it myself).
But it usually appears for me to see after someone has visited the room.
Why is this?2. I cant get the logic behind the sorting of the rooms in the list,
Some rooms stays at top for a long time, and i tought it was beckause of the
number of people who was using them, but sometimes when i create a room
it will end up much higher in the list with only one person in it than some rooms with 4-5 people.
This is not a big issue, but anyway, conserning its computer generated
i find it strange that there are such a lack of order in the sorting,
or have i missed something?3. Sometimes when i log out i can find my room still in the list after
many days without anyone in it.
How long does it stay in the list after last persson leaves? Thanks for a great forum!!

KeymasterHmm this is very interesting. I have not created a Yahoo Chatroom since the old version of Yahoo Messenger. Out of curiosity I went into Yahoo Messenger and created a chatroom and when I look at the user list, I encounter the same thing. My room does not show up in the list, yet a visitor came in. Even after I could not see my room in the list. After leaving my room and going into another one, I still see the one I made as well.
As for the order of yahoo chatrooms, I’ve noticed they’re sometimes out of place but most of the times they are sorted by the number of people in a room. The higher the number, the higher place it takes in the chatroom list.
Hmm I’ll keep checking to see what I can find out about this or if it’s just bugs yahoo has and hasn’t bothered to fix.

ParticipantYahoo! does not refresh the roomlists very often…the room would have to stay open i reckon about 24 hours before it becomes listed.

This cachefile is refresh every 24hrs… I believe (not sure) that (Windows) Registry key set delay to refresh
Yahoo! Messenger Plus delete cache file while you change your chat-server (with Y!Pilot) ;o)
And your post submit me new feature into future YMP 1.8 to refresh manually this cachefile :op
