hi, i’m starting to get annoyed when i move chat windows around my computer screen…what happens is that when i move a chat window around, it doesnt move smoothly, it gets all choppy and my computer starts to make a noise as if it was sucking out all the CPU…its really hard to explain…basically, my chat windows dont move smoothly when i move them around……..
help please?hmm… what version of AIM are you using? also, could you give us some information about your computer? (operating system, how much memory do you have, etc) the more relevant information you provide, the better we may be able to help you.
when did this problem start? did it *just* start suddenly, or has it been this way for a while?

platform: windows xp sp2
memory: 0.99GB
processor: intel pentium 4 processor w/ HT technology 3Ghzits been like this ever since i installed aim in this computer. i’ve tried reinstalling aim several times but its still the same.
I just set up a new computer for my friend last night. Basically has the same specs as yours and AIM does exactly the same thing your describing, but it does it more so with the Away Message window than it does the chat window.
