Has anyone heard of yahoo cam chat site for teenagers who are monitored to insure a clean chat enviroment? My son wanted me to find such a place and I told him I would look and where better to ask then all the good people here at BigBlueBall.

Yahoo closed the teenager chat last year and made the other chatrooms unavailable for users under 18.
There are monitored chatrooms for teenagers in the internet (like those listed here http://yahooligans.yahoo.com/arts_and_entertainment/chat/ ), I don’t know any details about those tho.
Good luck for your search. 🙂William, I might suggest you also check out PalTalk – it has a huge number of chat rooms (though probably 90% are more for voice than text), and has pretty good controls available too.
It does have a huge “adult” (i.e. “dirty” 😉 ) section, BUT there is simple option to turn this OFF, then you never see any sign of it – leaving the “other” parts generally much cleaner.
I think there’s also a “parental control” option there somewhere, where you can set up an account so it CAN’T get to wrong places.
