MemberOn the subject of being blocked, I agree that if someone has a small mind to block you then they are not worth knowing, but it can be useful to know if have been blocked. I recently had my ears bent by a “friend” regarding her medical problems and it caused worry and many hours on IM trying to help. Then there was a week of silence and I really got concerned. After reading this topic I did check it out and found she had blocked me! Her loss, and without the facility to have checked if I was blocked I would still be worrying like crazy now.

Memberhello all, I have downloaded two differemt programs(RSV and msn detective) to find out if someone is blocking me and none of them have been successful. I keep getting errors of missing files, i tried downloading them but i guess either I am putting them in the wrong folder or its just my computer settings. So, if someone knows what could be my problem please help me out!!!

MemberHey bobby, I too use the Mac version of MSN on OSX.5. I was just wondering if you’ve found out how to see if someone has blocked you on the Mac version. I’d appreciate a reply.
Cheers,

Is there anyway to find out whether you are blocked using the Mac version of MSN Messenger?
Thanks,

MemberI know this topic is old BUT instead of downloading anything, and wasting time, and space, just try the Online Status Indicator, just enter the email of the one you are wanting to see the status of, and if the icon shows the status of ONLINE you have your self a blocker. Simple as that!

MemberJeff, you should create FAQs now like steve created one for AIM, and this question must be the 1st one! I hate this question now…:D

That would work, only if the user you are trying to seek the status of has not blocked “All other users” as stated in this FAQ:
Quote:quote:From the OSI Website:Q: Why is my status indicator for MSN showing offline?
A: Register using your full MSN userid (incl @hotmail.com etc). If necessary, check to see that you are not blocking “All other users”.
(On hosts running OSI 4.0 and earlier you need to respond to the Allow user to see my online status pop-up. This is removed in OSI 4.1 and later!)September 26, 2006 at 11:21 am #68323komansho
