December 6, 2005 at 5:32 am #129905uniqueMemberYea I was chatting with one of my friends, when all of the sudden I get disconnected from the internet. Then when I get back on, it said that my friend was sending me a file named ‘clicky.gif’. So I asked my friend if he sent me that, and he said no and that he had no idea what i was talking about. Then we werent recieving messages that we were sending to each other for a while. Another weird thing is that, whenever my friends send me a file, it has a blue color around it, but this one had purple around it………..Can anyone explain what this is??? What is this??? PLEASE HELP!!!

Sounds like your friend has an infection of some type to me. A .gif file is a photo file, usually animated. But since your friend says he didn’t send you the file, it is suspicious. Have your friend make sure he has a working anti-virus program, that is UPDATED and has the LATEST DEFINITIONS. Also it doesn’t hurt to do a free online scan.
