MemberYou need to set your Preferences from Mic to Wave under your Sound Device.
I have a Sound Blaster Live!, so it is really easy for me to do so.
If you post your Audio Device, I am sure some one can help show you how to change your mic to wave.

MemberI did the following to play music directly from my sound card.
1) Go to volume controls – To do so click the “golden colored” volume icon in right hand side of your taskbar ( if you do not have it use control panel to enable it).
2) Go to option–> Properties –> check the “recording tab” –> check all the tabs in it –> click “OK”.
3) An advance volume control will appear on your screen – make sure that “Micorophone” tab checked.
4) Now Go to the chat room and Play music from your Winamp or any other software.I have tried it on Win-NT and Win-XP and it works fine.. Hope it does with Win-98 too.
Thanks,

ParticipantActually, that will record the audio from your speakers through your microphone. Not the best solution as it results in background noise and qualiy degradation. The best bet would be to follow W311 more detailed instructions, but select the “Wave” box in the Recording Properties area, as UnSakred has pointed out. This should then send your audio directly from your media player into Yahoo when you use the talk/hands free button.

MemberHi, sorry to bump this but I have tried the above and it hasn’t worked for me. All I got was an advanced mic button with bass & treble.
