My first problem is that I can’t get yahoo or buddyspy to connect right now. It’s been going on for over an hour, and I’ve tried 3 legit ID’s. Is the YMSG server down?
I can connect on the web pages, but attempts to log on to messenger on the pc AND my cell phone (all 3 ID’s) have failed.
Another problem I seem to have is an inactive ID keeps trying to add me.
I can’t ignore them because it is an invalid ID. I’ve tried putting the name in the iggy bin, but it never shows up. Any suggestions about what is happening there?

As for the adding thing, try searching the forum here for that, as i think it’s another one of Yahoo!’s problems. I’ll try searching for you and as soon as i find it i’ll edit my post and add it here.

I felt like a real jerk after I posted my message, because I noticed that while I was typing it, you posted yours. *dies from embarrassment*
Thanks for the link to the other thread…I’ll try that stuff when yahoo comes back up. (I’ll try logging back in here in another couple hours or so)
I’ll definitely keep you posted on the “invalid ID issue” since the YMSG server thing is totally out of our collective hands.
It’s no problem. Plus this kind of thing happens all the time! We can’t read each others mind on what we are going to post. 😛
Plus you had that other question on that add request problem, so it’s no big deal. Hope you keep coming back and keep us updated on your problem once the Yahoo! server gets fixed.
I’m back, sorry it took me so long…life interrupted. 🙂
I tried creating that invalid ID to make it go away, I signed out, then signed back in, and still got the request, but instead of being told it was an invalid ID, it told me I couldn’t ignore myself.
I signed back out, then in again, and no more requests.
I then went and deleted the name….still no more requests.
YAY!!! I’m free!!!
