ok, there’s probably a ton of topics on this alreay……but this is really weird…i have had AIM installed on this computer ever since i got it. just yesterday every 5-10 minutes i would get disconnected form AIM. i have tried multiple sn’s, i tried Gaim, i have tried just about everything…the thing is, AIM works fine on every other computer in my house. the only thing different on this computer is that i got a program called “tune up utilities”. i ran some internet optimizer…i thoguth this would have soemthing to do with it, so i ran the backup it made to undo al the changes. but this AIM thing is still heppening…..this is my last resort…please help me guys….
I cant realy help you,im not the techy guy here.But what was the message it gave you before u go cut off,or was there no message?
it says “connection failed, please check your internet connection” or somethign of that nature……..please help me guys 🙂
o…are you in the north east? im in NY and that happens to me somtimes.the recent power problem we have could be causing it. if you dont live in the north east,after it kicks you off try to get on the internet.if that works its most liky somthing wrong with AIM.if it doesnt its somthing with your comp or your connection.
maybe if you go to My AIM > Edit Options > Edit Preferences > Sign On/Off > Connection (in the lower right hand corner) > Auto Configure it will fix it
