Contact List Changed

I’m on a new computer and I ran Windows Messenger (4.7 or osmething) on htis comp before I dled Windows Live Messenger. Anyway, I used MSN Messenger before on my other computer and I had a contact list. But ever since I ran Windows Messenger on this new computer, my contacts are split into two different groups, both with the same name. What happened? Is there a way to get my old contact list back? Who knows if any contacts were deleted.

This is usually happening with hotmail accounts. If you have hotmail account, login to hotmail, and organize your contacts there.
