MemberI can’t seem to get my messages delivered to anyone. They all email me asking if I had email them yet when I already did hours ago! I even send messages to my other yahoo email account and don’t get it. Could my modem firewall setting be the cause?

MemberI just tried sending email from one of my other yahoo accounts to the “problem account” and they were delivered soon after I sent them.
So My Problem: I can recieve emails but can’t send them.
I know it has nothing to do with my modem firewall now and something to do with that perticular email account. BUT WHAT!

Participanthmm, i doubt it has something to do with your firewall or your router as webmail would use port 80 usually and your router/firewall is already allowing that to be on the page in the first place.
Have you Checked the Y! SPAMGUARD settings and the mail settings to make sure all is right?

MemberYahoo asked me to Lower my browser security( I did). They asked me to enable java(I did). They asked me to disable all third party plug-ins (I did). NOTHING is working.
I have two yahoo email accounts and I access my email through my browser for both. But one wont send email and the other will.
I just don’t know whats up with that.
What should my mail settings be on?
And how do I check the Y! Spamgaurd? Thanks

MemberDeed, quick question. Do you have 2 yahoo email accounts on ONE ID??? Or do you mean 2 seperate yahoo email accounts???
I have been seeing this problem more and more lately, so I honestly think it’s something with yahoo. The way people are fixing it, is by going to the link on the front page of yahoo that says “contact us”. From what I am reading, they are responding rather quickly with fixing the email. It is apparently a setting on the yahoo side. What happens is that someone gets ahold of your email address, and uses it to send out spam. When enough people mark your email address as spam, yahoo will not allow you to send email.
I suggest sending an email to them, telling them you can’t send email. And see if they will fix yours as well.
Good luck

MemberI have two SEPARATE email accounts. Also… I have contacted Yahoo about this 3 times already and each time they say it could be my browser or java.. but I did everything they told me to do and it still does not work.
