I noticed that EliteNick created a program called Y!Amp6 or something like that. I’ve always wanted to create one? anyone know of any tutorials on how to create one, where as your song changes your yahoo status also changes.
You just need to know some API, to grab the winamp song name.
Then set it for the current user via registry, then a run menu click.
On messenger buddylist.
Correct.
First off you need Microsoft’s Visual Basic 6 to program it in (I hope you know that much). Then you need to use Spy++ which comes with VB.
Also Pat or JK’s API Spy can compile good API codes together for you…
There may be full tutorials on this, but I doubt they are as specific as to talk about making the status of your Yahoo! Messenger the song you’re listening to in Winamp.
oh wow. umm.. the only thing I know now, and just the basics are C++ and i’m just picking up java. I guess I won’t be able to do it. darn. but thanks anyway. always wanted to create one, haha i’m not that advanced yet.
Well…C++ is more advanced that VB, almost anyone can learn at least the basics to it 😀 especially if you already know some C++.
