MemberYahoo! is now allowing the creation of . character id’s.
You can only input one however, and no .com/.org/gov/.net etc. example name would be http://www.unsakred/ or i did unsakred.info lol
you get the jist..
to create the id’s just go to this link

ParticipantIt seems the filter under these new rules are very strict
As to why half of the id’s just get turned down are beyond me.

Participantok, checked up on it.
all new dot ids must have at least 4 characters before and after the dot.
otherwise they wont register.

MemberWell, I tried this out for myself yesterday and it worked fine, I used “crash.1985” as my alternative id.
But there is one complaint I have about these dot ids. Maybe I did something wrong, but why can’t i play Yahoo Games with my newfound dot id? I can do just about everything else on yahoo with “crash.1985” other than use it in a gameroom….
When i sign into yahoo games with this id,everything is fine, but when i actually get into the game room, my original name is used!? Can somebody please tell me why this is? Thx

ParticipantDo you mean you created the crash ID as an alias under your main account? It has been a while since I played Yahoo games, but I seem to remember there being a place where you have to choose which alias you want to appear in the room as… try again and look around for something like that.

ParticipantYou have to make it your default id in order to make it show up in game rooms. Go to My Account>Edit/Create Profiles>Then you see a list of your id’s on that account and make the one you want to show up in game room “Default” by clicking on it in that row. After that go log into Yahoo! Games and play whichever game you want, and the default id should show up. Do not use any backdoors when trying to do this to get into a game in yahoo because that is usually the cause of why the id you want to show up won’t. Hope this helps.
