Has anyone suggested that people should be able to upload custom pictures as their avatars? I’d like to suggest this. You could limit the file types to maybe jpg and gif. 😀
If you check out our Forum Policies you will see the following:
Avatars
We have a library of avatars you can select from. Your avatar appears below your forum name in each of your posts. Use it to add a little personality to your posts! Members who have posted 100 or more messages can have a personalized avatar (they must be 48×64 pixel GIF or JPG files); just email to avatar@bigblueball.com.Also you should note the following as well in regard to Signatures…
Signatures
Signatures allow you to automatically attach your name, a favorite quote or link to the end of all your posts. You can link to an image in your signature, but it may not contain animation. Linked images must be no larger than 460 pixels wide by 30 pixels tall, and under 8k in size. You can link to your homepage or favorite site, but you can’t use it for advertising. Keep your signatures to no more than three or four lines.
