I just ripped a “copy protected” CD (guess it’s not really protected huh? lol) and the last song is now over 15 minutes instead of a little over 3 minutes. Does anyone here know a good freeware program that I can use to cut the 12 minutes worth of silence off the song? I’ll probably need it more often since more and more CDs get that worthless copy protection…

Problem solved 😀

Although it is NOT freeware as requested.

Of course it will, it’s the first program my friend told me about, but that’s not freeware. The freeware version of MP3Trim won’t handle large files, and the other two that will are paid versions.
mp3DirectCut did the job, doesn’t require any installation and is free. What more can you ask for if you only need it maybe once every 6 months?
