stalking
MemberI am a victim of cyberstalking. The person first sent a spyware, then deleted all my friends on my yahoo messenger list, came online with their ID and faked all the chats. Now no matter with which ID I logg in, I get directed allways in a chatroom faked with profiles and chats from him. I can not even ignore him on my list. Please if somebody knows about this abuse post here.

MemberPoint your virus scanner to your Yahoo! folder and run a scan. This issue is the probably the result of a file (YHelTrkr.exe) that has been implanted on your system by the perpetrator.

MemberFirst of all , who is this person and why is he targeting you? There are many online resources for help with stalking problems depending on the content of his messages and the consistency in which he bothers you, he may be prosecuted. check the laws in your state! I had a problem with cyber stalking in which the guy was e-mailing and changing his Sns. I sent him a warning in e-mail after talking with a detective and told him to not write to me again. it worked. however he started pming me under different yahoo aliases , but Y! tunnel pro took care of that problem and has worked wonderfully. I surely know how distressing this is for you. I hope this helped , good luck and take care!

KeymasterThe key here is that you need to work with Yahoo and the authorities to resolve the problem. Do not attempt to “get back” at this person. You could end up antagonizing him, which could backfire on you. Let Yahoo and the authorities deal with the individual.
You may want to consider using a different IM network until this is resolved (MSN, ICQ, AIM, etc.).

MemberYou might try looking into getting a firewall stalking. As far as scanning your machine is concerned, I would suggest using Spybot S&D, and Housecall, which you can get/do at http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=2471 (spybot S&D) http://housecall.antivirus.com/housecall/start_frame.asp (housecall). As far as firewalls are concerned, you might try looking at Zone Alarm, or Sygate. They are farely user friendly (especially zone alarm), free, and do a good job of controlling traffic. And, as Jeff said, you might want to look into using a different IM’ing network until this is resolved. I hope this helps at least a little. đŸ™‚

MemberThank you all, for your help regarding the cyberstalking.
Yahoo is not replaying, I got just one standard answer and still keeping emailing every day to them regarding my matter, I am asking what is the yahoo support for???
I have already zonealarm installed. On MSN I have the same problem, even here I was cyberstalked so that I stopped using MSN.
Fact is, that if I go online in yahoo – no matter under which ID – he is always there, I got the impression , that I am ending up on a server of him and he is still seeing my activities on yahoo.
He is coming online with my friends ID and I am unable to get in contact with them trough the messenger even under an another ID. -
