I’ve got a couple of friends that play, but it’s kinda hard to leave Norrath when you’ve been there for so long.

Well i too was an addict of EQ.EQ seemed to be very hard to play and it took forever to get ahead in regards to leveling, money, and items. For instance i played EQ for about 6 months and was pretty hard core.I only achieved 19 lvl and very little to show for what i was paying for the monthly sirvice, not to mention the expantion packs i had to purchase.
Now with DAOC(Dark Ages of Camelot) i have had the game since February, about 4 mo. and i have a now 40th healer and another at 15th lvl with many great items, money, and gaining mutch more well earned exp. than on EQ.Not to mention i havent had to purchace an expansion pack.DAOC has added patches to add new Battlegrounds and dungeons without having to buy it.Its all included in the monthly service fee no expansion pack to soak you for your money. It is also a lot more player friendly and a lot more fun.Well in my opinion anyway.I would recommend to anyone this MMRPG.

Ive only just bought DAoC and it looks really good, i never played EQ or Ultima online, but ive always like the genre of game.
The problem that i hav found is that it cant b played on a 56K modem becuase there is too much lag.
This means that im gonna have to wait for a week or two till i get my broadband install.
The char ive created is a Avalonian Elementlalist on the Excalibur Server (I think).
This Seems to have a Better more complex system which make the gaming experience a lot better for everyone whether you are a noobie or l337.
