Is there any way to tell the date of when a screen name was registered?
Thanks,
September 4, 2005 at 1:09 am #129371RustyMemberNot that I know of but why does it matter?
September 4, 2005 at 2:30 am #129370DrBroccoliParticipantIf you knew some information about the name you could do a “find a member by _____” search, that might tell you. Not to sure though, worth a try.
September 4, 2005 at 9:40 pm #129362Jeff HesterKeymasterwhen you sign in using gaim you can see when your screenname was created. right click on your screenname on your buddylist and click Get Info (if you don’t have your own screenname on your buddy list click Buddies>> Get Info >> type your screenname in the text box and click ok). there should be a line that says: “Member Since: Day Month dd hh:mm:ss yyyy”. this only works on the signed in screenname. 🙂
September 5, 2005 at 3:38 am #129366Jon8RFCMemberI used to be able to do this, but within the past couple of months, it seems to have been disabled for me.

September 5, 2005 at 4:12 am #129365gossipingraeMemberDid you have your screen name before the year 2000? Because I know of the entire Y2K scare thingy with the computers. Hmmm just a guess…
September 6, 2005 at 2:00 am #129367Jon8RFCMemberYeah, Jon8RFC was before 2000, and ones after 2000 receive the same results. They turned it off for some reason 🙁 It was really fun to see that info. Maybe they turned it off to be a Triton-only feature to help convert users to the new era of AOL’s IM.
September 6, 2005 at 2:38 am #129363Jeff HesterKeymasterit works on a screename i’ve had for a while:
Code:Member Since: Sat Dec 11 xx:xx:xx 1999here is one from a newer screenname:
Code:Member Since: Mon Jan 17 xx:xx:xx 2005the point is that it works on my screennames fine. it kinda stinks that it doesn’t work for you. it is some interesting information. although i don’t remember anything else i did on those dates.
September 6, 2005 at 4:17 am #129372MonsterBabyMemberThanks for responses, but what I really meant was could you check to see when another person other than yourself signed up their screen name.
