Hello…
Ive received a few requests from people I know to add me to their lists. Thing is I dont want them to add me but also dont want to deny cause that would hurt their feelings and I would not want that.
My question is: is there a way to delete or just make those requests vanish or disappear without me having to accept or deny to be in their lists? Thanks very much for any help.

You make me smile with your desire not to hurt anyone’s feelings. (thats kind of rare and special). I use yahoo a lot and have not found a way to make those requests vanish, additionally, if you do nothing, it will just keep popping up. Older versions of Yahoo used to allow the person requesting the add to see when you were on line (basically like you were already a buddy) until you actually “denied” the request. Later versions don’t do that anymore. Try creating a gentle way to say ‘no thanks’ such as, “I’m sorry but I have limited my Buddy List to only close friends and relatives but, you are welcome to message me whenever you like.” (P.S. if they cannot accept a polite and sincer “no”…do you really want to chat with them?) You might try responding in a foreign language 🙂 “Droevig ik spreek Engels heel goed niet” I bet they move on without hurt feelings. Good luck!March 13, 2006 at 7:19 pm #140011UnSaKreDMemberOr, if you see add requests you can simply exit yahoo messenger, not giving them a yes or a no and it will appear on their list as “awaiting approval” or something
