Tools > Internet Options > Clear History.
May 6, 2005 at 1:31 am #121107DavidParticipantIf you use Firefox:
Tools > Options > Privacy > History -> Clear

I use IE but if you type the web address on the bar it gives you a dropdown menu of the sites relating to that..How do I get rid of that..?Thanks

If you mean the autocomplete thing that tries to finish typing the website for you since you have visited before. Deleting that internet history as David said, deletes that too, but if you wanna completely stop it from autocompleting for you. Go to Tools > Internet Options > Content > Auto Complete > uncheck the web address option, and that should stop it from doing that. Hope that helps for your problem.May 6, 2005 at 2:52 am #121111dreadMemberHere is a good free program http://www.ccleaner.com/
May 6, 2005 at 3:38 am #121106Jeff HesterKeymasteryou may also want to delete cookies, and delete files. you can delete old autocomplete entries by going to tools>>internet options>>content>>AutoComplete>>ClearForms and ClearPasswords
somebody with computer know-how can view what sites you’ve been to. all the sites you have been to are stored in a file named “index.dat”. to get rid of this file you must run specialty programs. SuperCleaner (http://southbaypc.com/, not free) works well, but any other “history cleaner”/”track eraser” you can find online should do the trick.
unlike internet explorer when you clear your history in firefox there is no secret file that stores extra information.. which can be pretty usefull.. especially if you need to protect your privacy.
