Alright I’m a complete newcommer to IM’ing so bear w/ me. I used the how to on this site to configure Google Talk to communicate w/ AIM, Yahoo! etc. by signing up for a PSI account. I have purchased a product for my BlackBerry called IM+ so I can be in contact w/ several IM services at once on my phone. I think the fact that I have set up Google talk to converse w/ my Yahoo!, AIM contacts etc. is causing Yahoo! to disconnect in my IM+ program (Every time I sign into Google Talk Yahoo! disconnects). So what I’d like to do is unregister from the two jabber servers I used as transports to configure the other IM programs w/ Google Talk. Can anyone assist me on how to do this? I tried to remove my Google Talk account from PSI by selecting – Account Setup/Remove and the selecting – remove account and try to unregister it from the server. The problem is I don’t know the password or if this is even the correct way to go about this. I also tried to go into “Service Discovery,” put in the jabber server (jabber.no) and see if there was an option to unregister from the server there but no luck. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
