hello, im just wondering if anyone knows how to get new colors for your background/ font for your buddy info? im soo sick of the ones that AIM gives you…thanks!
August 21, 2005 at 2:40 am #128064TigerbladeParticipanti’m assuming you mean how to use different fonts for the profile? so that when people view your buddy info, you can have them see colors other than the default set of colors aim shows? well, yes, you can… if you know the appropriate HTML code for the colors you want. when you edit your profile, put in code like this:
Code:This font will show up as redOf course, there are many colors available, and a quick google search for hex codes turns up lists of them.

Code:all the way on top of your profile (substitute black for any one of the colors here: http://w3.org/TR/REC-html40/types#h-6.5 or one from the web safe hexadecimal color codes chart).
i suggest using notepad to directly edit the html (that way less garbage, and potentially more text, is placed inside your profile), although i guess you could just copy/paste this into your profile (you can usually edit the colors from the AIM profile editor, from the top menu My AIM>> Edit Profile… >> Right Click >> Window Color). to edit your profile in notepad (if using Windows XP): Start >> Run (or winkey + R) >> notepad %appdata%aimyour screennameinfo.htm
