June 23, 2003 at 7:11 am #60938DavidParticipantWhy do you need their IP?
Why not just ask them for it?
June 23, 2003 at 6:32 pm #60944BaoMemberto have their ip dc first press Alt+r then go start menu look for Run type command in the box then type netstat -n.
June 23, 2003 at 9:23 pm #60949ocpaintballer86Memberso you press in netstat-n I dont understand that “-n” part it never really worked with me ????? If you just enter in netstat then it works actually better!:)
June 23, 2003 at 9:58 pm #60941JohnsonMemberI can tell you how to get their IP, but only if you give me a practical reason why you would need it. I can only think of two practical reasons why you would NEED someone’s IP w/ out their knowledge.

~ocpaintballer86:DOh, they can. Just disable the ‘Messenger’ service in the ‘Tasks and Services’ list.

Every machine in a network has a unique identifying number, called an IP Address. If a machine in the network wants to connect to another machine in the network, it needs its IP address. Same goes with the Internet. If computers on the Internet do not know your IP address, they can not directly communicate with you and vice versa. IP addresses consist of four numbers between 1 and 255 seperated by dots, like 217.57.10.210
Also, http://www.google.com and http://www.howstuffworks.com answer most “What is” and “What are” questions.

You can not know the original IP, unless the person runs their own mail server.

Other than that, you have a lame reason for obtaining someones IP. It’s a subject that is not supported here. Read the Forum Policies and Posting Guidelines next time. 🙂

That’s exactly what you mentioned in your previous posts. You can only netsend to another machine on the internet when:
a) The remote side is running a Windows version based on NT
b) You have their IP or hostnameAgain, read my previous post here. It’s a subject that isn’t supported. Find a forum about hacking/cracking.
