Disabling sounds and notifications while away

Is there a way with the new triton 1.2.70.1 to disable sounds and notifications while away. The catcher popping up is not really a big deal but knowing about that would be nice too

Searched the forums for a post about this and didnt find any so sorry if its a repost

but there i no way to do this through away msgs like in aim it seems a real pain to do every time you go away
