ParticipantYour poll makes no sense. You either agree with the way he runs your country, or your don’t. As for this, “I like him, but I don’t like the way he runs the country” what is that supposed to mean? Oh – he’s an awesome guy, but he blows all of our tax money on BS, and doesn’t care. I can’t see it. As for him being a good leader or not, I can comment on it, as I don’t live there, and have no knowledge of what he does, or what kind of government he runs. Maybe someone else from the UK can comment.
All I CAN say about the man is, he has a cool name. Much cooler than Paul Martin. 😉

MemberI dont like him, mainly because of the way he messed up education. These AS and A2 levels that have been introduced by the governmment are disgraceful. When I finish my exams on the 21st of June, I will have done 13 exams this year. Under the old system, you didnt do any exams till the second year. The jump between GCSE and A-level is tremendous, meaning the exams are a lot more difficult, and you’re barely even used to the subject when you take the first exams in January. Its is much more stressful and has been deemed a failure by many teaching groups.

MemberI would like to point out that Tony Blair is not responsible for the messed up exam system… the exams intorduced are not that bad, the jump between GCSE and AS level is small, the jump from AS level to A level is much bigger…
The problem with the AS system is that it undervalues the A-level, making it much easier to get a good grade at a-level, admitedly the exams in january are slightly to easy, but come on, the difficulty level is not that hard, and a small effort in tehse exams means you’ll have done a good 1/6 of your a-level, on a level of work which owuld never have appeared in the old a-level exam…
the goal of the AS level, and tony blairs education policy, is a noble but misguided attmept to make it easier to get into higher education and get degrees, in the belief taht people would get better job oppurtunities, sadly the government seem to have failed to take into account that increasing he number of people with degrees, by a process of supply and demand, will mean that not as many people with degrees get good jobs….
On the whole I quite like tony blair,a nd think he’s made a decent attempt at running the country, on the whole I support labours policies and aims, and believe sincerly taht teh country is in a much better state under laboour than the conservatives.
admittedly hes not done a great job, but the political realities of the system mean that despite noble aims, and policies, things just don’t quite work as they were meant ot and compromises forced by oter parties dilute, and mar forever the aim and goal of the policies…
