MemberIs there a way to be able to ‘dock’ the friends list to either side or the top of the screen? In ICQ and AIM you can drag the window and it attaches itself to one of the three areas, but I can’t get that to work with YIM?
Thx.

MemberI don’t use ICQ or AIM so not sure how you’re able to ‘dock’ them on your screen, but if you go into preferences/general and choose ‘keep on top of other applications’ would that serve the same purpose?

MemberNo, that would just make Yim the closest window in all cases. Other apps (including AIM and ICQ) allow you to drag the window to any side of the screen and it will attach itself to that side (i.e. just like the task bar is attached to the bottom of the screen). Yim doesn’t seem to have this feature, which I find odd.

Memberer… yes… but does it DOCK[/b] to the sides (i.e. attach itself to the top, bottom, left or right)? Mine doesn’t. Other apps do.

MemberSorry to be thick I dont know what DOCK means…..Id think it means stay where you put it…like a ship would dock….and if thats what you mean ….YES I can put my friends list ANYWHERE on my screen !!! and it stays where I put it !

Memberhmm.. well no, doesn’t mean anywhere on the screen. It means if you drag the window to the far left (or top, or bottom or right of the screen) it attaches itself there. You can see it stick on that side as if by glue or tape. To unattach it you drag it away and it becomes a ‘floating’ window again.
Afraid that’s the best that I can explain it 🙁

MemberNo thats not what Mikenowo is meaning he wants to to *stick* either to the top, bottom or a side like your tool bar does. Try grabbing your tool bar and dragging it to a side. It sticks to the side. Just moving the Yahoo Messenger Box and having it stay there is not what Mikenowo is wanting.

MemberMrM no your not useless at all. Always post you reponses for if nothing else it helps clear things up for that other member out there thats not sure what we are meaning. Plus it might always be the case that you are the one actually understanding what the poster of the question is needing and the rest of us be wrong. 😉 Just not in this case.
