Does anyone know fixed boot sector

My computer been giving problem. when i shut it down & restarted it some thing say boot and space bar repair problem..then my icon won’t load up all the way on my desk top. I try shut it down and restarted the computer.But still same problem boot and space bar repair problem

when was the last time you defragged and ran a scan disk?

I did defragged on computer fews day ago. and did scan disk on it. boot sector problem hasn’t improve

This computer is dell XP computer I’m not sure of the yr it about 2 yr old

Insert your Windows XP CD and boot off of it, let it load the hardware drivers, and press R at the first screen. Enter your administrator password and select C:WINDOWS for you installation. Run these commands, and let them complete:

fixboot
chkdisk C: /F
defrag C: -f -v
