ParticipantYou know how there are codes to make links so when people click on the link it opens up a new IM for them or it puts an away msg up for them with the words you wanted it to say..well can you do that with profiles? is there a code that you can type anything you want and they click the msg you wrote goes into their profile?

Participantwell..it would be sweet. thanks.

ParticipantHow would that be sweet? I’d be pissed if you could change my profile via clicking a link, this is not a feature that has been discovered, and I highly doubt it was implemented by AOL.

Participanti think it would be cool if someone clicked my link and it changed their profile to like “im gay” or “alana rules”. do you get pissed when you click a link and it puts an away message up for you?

No, that isnt that cool, its pointless actually, and yes I do get mad when that happens. Its not ethical, that is that

That’s incredibly retarded, sorry, but it is.
Most of my friends have the sense to not send me links like that

ParticipantI see some insight in Alana’s idea…having your profile be a mirror of how others see you…your friends could write little things about you that they like or dislike…letting people see the real you…kind of a neat/interesting idea, BUT unfortuantely not all people are nice and friendly. The system would be abused and too many offensive, or gross, or just plain dumb comments would be used…sadly too many feelings would go hurt and I just don’t see the validity of such a program.

Errm….sorry about that. 🙁 Listen to Dr Kimble, her post has more meaning (And uh, is less offensive :)).
