Edition #8The story…
I feel a bit strange when I leave the train. Without thinking I immediately start to walk to the street that I remember so well from the past. When I enter the street things clear up in my head again.“What am I actually doing here?” I ask myself. You haven’t lived here for a very long time now and I haven’t seen you for even longer. You’ve just disappeared. It’s as if you just vanished. Well, I hope you will have it better at your new place anyways.
“But… maybe you are dead?” the thought suddenly crosses my mind. Well, it would be typically you – you were always a few steps ahead of everyone. Lost in my thoughts I’ve arrived at your old house. I hear your voice inside my head, calling me from your window, like you always did when you saw me walking down the street.
Not much later I’m in the train again. I still don’t know what came over me to just go there again. What would I tell if I suddenly ran into you? Would I just admit I’ve been hanging around your old house?
Oh well, I’m not getting anywhere this way. My life has been empty since you left me and that was a very long time ago already. You always went your own way, but I don’t get even one step further without you… and that’s why I still miss you so incredibly much.
The song…?
Name the performing artist and title of the song and win!February 23, 2005 at 6:48 pm #115051DJHyperbyteMemberHint: The duo behind this song got their artist name from a sign in the window of a furniture store, which claimed they sell everything you could want for your bedroom. Everything, except a girl.

Now listen to it and ask yourself this question: such a succesful song with such a brilliant bassline… wasn’t this bassline ever used anywhere else?Well, it was. The producer behind “Everything but the girl” used the same bassline to make No Mercy’s “Where do you go” a big success. 😉 Listen and compare. Interesting? I think so.
Anyway, [THREAD=27591]congratulations[/THREAD]! “For your bedroom needs, we sell everything but the girl.”

And as for the same bassline of these songs… yes, I have noticed that before, since both of the songs were very popular.
Anyway, I have to rephrase that “For your bedroom needs, we sell everything but the girl.” sign… lol
“For your bedroom needs, we sell everything but the boy” – sounds more intriguing to me. 😀
