Email Virus?

I recieved these emails saying its from: administrator@yahoo.com I dont know if this is a virus or not. Has anyone else got one of these?:
Dear Yahoo Member,

Your e-mail account was used to send a huge amount of unsolicited spam messages during the recent week. If you could please take 5-10 minutes out of your online experience and confirm the attached document so you will not run into any future problems with the online service.

If you choose to ignore our request, you leave us no choice but to cancel your membership.

Virtually yours,
The Yahoo Support Team

The attachment says:account_details.zip(56k)
And the second email i recieved says:
Dear user (my ID),

You have successfully updated the password of your Yahoo account.

If you did not authorize this change or if you need assistance with your account, please contact Yahoo customer service at: service@yahoo.com

Thank you for using Yahoo!
The Yahoo Support Team
But I have not updated my password at all…any help please?
oh and both emails were in my bulk folder.

They are both spam, I get similar ones from time to time. In the first one, the “attached document” contains a virus, so don’t open it. Just ignore them both.

Uh huh, I think that email’s which are genuinely from Yahoo! wouldn’t go into bulk.

I received this email. It came in my primary inbox. It has an attachment..

administrator@ yahoo.com Your password has been updated Thu Mar 09, 200655k

I suspect virus. Am I right?

Anything from Yahoo will almost NEVER have an attachment. Especially a ZIP or EXE or SCR. Even if it did, it’d more likely be a TXT or whatever. But usually Yahoo will NEVER send you an attachment. So dont open attachments unless you know you’re getting them! :woot:
