I was wondering if anyone could help me do some emulation? I heard about it a long time ago and I finally decided to try it. Any help will be much appreciated.
Emulation? err.. I dont know how legal it is so I dont know if it should be discussed in these forums.
i think it depends on what console you are trying to emulate. Ive been told that if the console is no longer being made, it is legal to use an emulator. however I dont know if this is right or not. What do you want to emulate?
It is legal, as long as you own the actual games. Like if I have a Mario game, it is legal for me to download the Mario ROM.

Sorry to revive a month-old post but is seems as if nobody has helped HuRRiCaNe22491 in his emulation quest, just beat around the bush regarding the legality.

I was waiting for a reply about what he wanted to emulate. I have an emulator for the sega Mega Drive (Genesis) and could’ve easily pointed him to some ROM sites had he replied.
and yes I do own the games i’m emulating. I got it mainly because my sonic 3 cartridge broke and im using the emulator while I look for a replacement…. Honestly

Well, those sites that you all mentioned are some of the best that I found. I don’t think I can add to the list much.

OK….I’m a bit lost still…which one of these thingys do I download to get Nintendo 64 or Playstation games?? Or is that a no-no to ask?? Maybe it’s too much sun from yesterday or the wine with dinner last night….but I’m lost this morning…anyone care to enlighten me? I need some Mario!! Thanks.
Yes, you can get N64 emulators. I’ve heard that Project 64 is pretty good. You can search for that on google. The only problem with N64 roms is they take a mighty-long time to download. 😛
