I wish to provide the ability of forcing relinquishment of mic by a user who is abusing the voice facility in a chat room.
If 10% or more of a room’s population (one valid yahoo ID = 1 user, more than one nickname with the same valid yahoo ID counts as one user) has voted some user as mic hogger or using filthy language on voice, that user should be forced to relinquish control of the mic for the average of the time period decided by those 10% of users, subject to some max. upper limit on that time period specification.
I want to add a hyperlink to yahoo messenger on the lines of Report Abuse hyperlink/provide a separate application with this hyperlink, a click on that hyperlink will result in prompt to the user to enter the name of the abuser as it appears on the chat client (when the abuser speaks), and will give the reporter/victim an option to specify a time they think that abuser should not be allowed to use the mic in *any* chat room.
However, I have absolutely no knowledge of yahoo! internals. I request information and views on:
a) whether it is feasible
b) where to find the relevant information/knowledge
c) improvements to the above suggestion [the goal is to prevent (mic hogging and usage of filthy language)]
I wish to provide software which can provide this facility to anyone who uses the standard yahoo messenger client.
like i said to you in yahoo hacker lounge …. it exist an illigal tool for close the yahoo voice server ….. but for you i suggest the best and ligal way ….. when you loggin on yahoo messanger …. and you get on an chat room …. you can ignore an user … when it is on the ignore you will not recive any PM and you dont see any message or voice from that person …. you got 2 choice on ignore …. 1 for ingnoring only during that session you are inn or 2 ignore permanently
