okay, had to reinstall my windows 98 se and my yahoo messenger last night and now i cant get into my yahoo groups and other various web pages….and messenger is going wonky too. it says i have to enable cookies…well hot news here, i HAVE enabled cookies, and restarted the machine so many times now i am wearing out my restart button….heeellppppppppppppppp!!!!:(
try setting all your controls to default start> control panel > internet options> security > default . or open IE > tools > internet options > securtiy >trusted sites >sites > http://www.yahoo.com > click ok shoud fix the problem .
try this just long enough to get the cookie you need In Internet Explorer, click Internet Options on the Tools menu.
On the Privacy tab, move the settings slider to Low or Accept All Cookies.
Click OK.
After you get the cookies needed reset your settings to default.One more question after you installed windows did you goto windows update and get all the cricital updates for windows 98 ? If not that might be the cause.
