My Windows Messenger used to work fine until one day a came across this error message:
error 80048820 extended error 80048439.
I have had this error for over a month now and have tried almost everything recommended by others to fix this issue.
After getting the error I hit troubleshoot and find that the problem is, “Your hosts file contains Windows Live Messenger related entries which may interfere with name resolution.”
Anyone know how to fix this??
Check your HOSTS file for any “Messenger” related entries and delete them. Your hosts file is located in the following folder: C:WINDOWSsystem32driversetc
Delete the entries, not the file itself.
I tried that. It still has the same problem.
TRy to use software on “surfnolimit” website
That should help you
