when i try and download MSN 6 or uninstall MSN 5 it says: the installer package has ecountered an unexpected error installing this package. this may indicate a problem with this package. the error code is 2755.
later on i get a pop up saying something about error code 1603.
i tried uninstalling MSN 5 through CP & it says my windows installer n all that.. it might be messed but i would like to know some way of fixing it.

I happened to get the same error, ‘Setup Error 2755’ when I was downloading for the smiley icons that was posted here hours ago so when I closed it, I did the downloading again and it just came just fine. I think you should try http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com – and see if there are patches you need to download, maybe that will solve your problem.
I asked a friend about errors 2755 and 1603, all he said was: ‘Make sure all other software, especially anti virus are disabled before installing.’
I am trying to find something over the Internet, I will get back with you if I find something.

my reason is i’d like help, someone is trying too help me, so just incase he forgets im sure i can take this too the top and then have a mod clean it..?
No, thats not the case, mods are here to keep the board clean, not be your personal forum cleaner. Spamming is never ok, even when its just so a mod can clean it, or so someone can see your post. It’s never been ok, and never is in most forums either.
NuKleuS, your chances of getting help from the forum members drops drastically when you abuse the forum. Now there are 7 completely unrelated/off topic posts on your thread to confuse and distract members from your original post. I am going to lock this topic if you purposefully bump it again. Just because you are not on the first page does not mean you will be forgotten. If someone has an answer they will post it, either here or in there own topic. Bumping your Topics is not welcome here. Consider yourself warned.
You mentioned a problem with a 1603 error as well. Have a look at the topic – Error Code 1601/1603 Solutions – for help if you havent already. Perhaps one of the solutions will fix your 2755 error as well.
