I hope there is a fix. I don’t know what happened. I saw my friend’s name was changed so I tried to rename but I received an error *last address book operation did not success due to an error code -40031*.
I have yahoo version 8.1.0.421, windows xp home sp2
Thanks for any help! Rose

I’d try again later and see if perhaps it just clears itself up. I doubt it will take more than a day or two and it will work again.

May I ask what everyone think about new yahoo beta version 9? I’d personally don’t care for beta version, that’s why I ask.
Thank you for helping…I’d appreciated it! hugs, Rose

There is probably nothing wrong with your computer or your installation of Yahoo. I know how frustrating it is, and how you would like to be doing something…anything…to fix the problem. But when the error is on the server side, the only thing you can do is to be patient.
September 10, 2008 at 4:09 am #171043imported_Ven0mMemberTry editing the address book entry (while signed out) in Yahoo! Mail, under the contacts section (in the new Yahoo! Mail). 🙂
September 15, 2008 at 2:05 am #171042DermotParticipantSounds like a write to database error.
Could be a few factors for that happening
Yahoo addressbook server could be slow, broke
Local program blocking it
or yahoo changed something serverside and the current clients don’t handle it proper.
