Ok, i was talking to some guy in a pm and he said he had my IP # and if i did something wrong he was going to call info and find out who i was and tell the cops! I didn’t do anything for him to do that. So how does someone find out what your number is? I’ve noticed lots of people do it. And could someone really turn you into to the cops like that??? Thanks

Sometimes that person would get pissed off and say, if you don’t tell me the answers I asked you, I will trace your IP address get a a hold of your ISP and get your address… or just simply “hack ya”.. But if you’re behind a firewall, you should be fine! And if your not… check out http://www.download.com, they have a section devoted to firewalls from Zonealarm, Mc. Affee, and Norton.P.S. Ive done it a couple of times… thats why I know some people fall for it…

September 9, 2002 at 7:36 am #68005PhilMemberI hate those people…you meet them once and think that they are nice and friendly people with the same intention as you, but instead they say theyre goin to hack you…im hoping that most of the time they are bluffing and are trying to act cool…coz sometimes, someone i know that would definately not have the knowledge for hacking, would tell a friend that theyre goin to hack them…so i just laugh at them because i know that they can’t! i’m glad im pretty safe from any terrorists like that
