i just tried this and it worked. what you have to do is hit the away button with your mouse, then hit enter, do this for about 7-9 times. and a little message should pop up.You can also do the same method to get the door next to your name. Ok i used this a long time ago but the fake away still works**tested on 5.0.2916** its called aimfilter u can get it at http://www.manshadow.org/aolaim/tools/aimfilter.zip youll need comdlg32.ocx u can get that at ftp://ftp.desy.de/pub/herab/rich/databases/comdlg32.ocx and that should be it then u just neeed to config it right and then its pie from there on
LightHawkWing: sorry. that sounds too complex for me. i’m looking for a simpler approach. i tried pressings “I’m Away” and “I’m Back” about 7 or 8 times and it didn’t work. any suggestions? would someone mind going thru the process? or anyone know any other way?

Or i found that you could just hit the space bar and click the “Im away” button untill it gives you an error and then u close the away box and then there you go your away until you talk
w/ deadaim and aimutation, can you talk to other people while you are away? btw, how much is aimutation?
thxYou can talk to people while you are away with Deadaim. But the only setback is that everytime your friends reply your away message goes to them.
will1394 – AImutation is only $2.95, however the away feature isn’t in the current release .8, it will be in the next release .9 which should be out very shortly.
AImutation it your away message only goes to them once when they first IM you, if you IM them they never get the away message.
anyone know of a freeware app that can do this (something along the lines of AIM+) thanks.
