I hope there isnt already something about this. if there is, sorry. but, I wanted to know what everyones favorite AIM version is (or what version you use and why you like it I guess) Are you the more always-up-to-date, or the more practical 5.2 type? Or did you get AIM in the 4.X days and havent upgraded yet? I put the first 9 if you have otherwise, please specify. If you think some of these versions are just redundant, tell me and I can change it, or if I missed one in between some of them. Please, leave this forum for AIM users. I dont want to hear how you use trillian. thanks!
ill start off. I use 5.5.3595 (the newest). I just like being “up to date” and having the newest features. i’m sure 5.2 would probablly be better for the little I use it, but I cut most the stuff I dont need out with reshacker. besides, I like having the video feature.
July 19, 2004 at 5:12 pm #76329Someguy03MemberI use AIM 5.5.3415 because it is the latest AIM version that works with Aimutation 1.2.
July 31, 2004 at 5:53 am #76335EliteNickMemberI rarely use AIM. I hate to say it but to me it’s one of the worst chat clients out. It’s ugly, and the chat rooms suck.
I tried going to a few once, couldn’t have voice chat, and every person typing was a bot.
July 31, 2004 at 6:29 am #76328spidermanMemberWhen I do use aim, It’s version 5.5.3572 with deadaim. Only time I use it is when I’m sending multiple pics that we can discuss about since you can post pics in the chat area in an instant message when connected.

September 28, 2004 at 1:35 am #76331SpikeMemberYeah…you kinda forgot about AIM 5.9, but that’s okay. I upgraded. I don’t know why. For any of you who want to know what it’s like…IT SUCKS. It’s look is different (in a bad way…), there are too many toolbars and add-ons and expressions…It’s just not what AIM used to be about…you know? But that’s just my opinion…
