May 26, 2002 at 7:49 pm #101868magistykMemberPersonally I prefer the Play Station 2, because it has excellent graphics, awesome games, and a sweet ass system. I like consoles better because you don’t have to worry about system requirements and such, because they are all the same!

Broadband connecter… (I need one if someone has one they don’t want anymore).
Oh yeah, you can play your old Playstation games on it, too.
Of course, they’ve also stopped making it.

June 16, 2002 at 9:08 pm #101864imported_dantheconfusedMember    Ok, Gamecube for me! They only have a few games out so far that are fun, like Super Monkey Ball, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Pikmin, Rogue Squadron, and Resident Evil, BUT they are going to release some really awesome games this year. Mario Sunshine is going to be great, as every Mario game is, and you can’t go wrong with Zelda.
And lets not forget Metroid Prime, that is my second most anticipated game this year for gamecube, with mario being first and zelda being third. If you haven’t seen the screenshots, you can go to gamespy.com and see the e3 section for screenshots and stuff…
And as a side note, if you haven’t seen the graphics for Resident Evil, boy are they WAAAAY better in real life than in the screenshots! I kept mistaking the gameplay graphics for cut scene graphics they were so good.
I also have to say, that I’m not very impressed with the graphics on the XBOX, and I HAVE seen Halo, well, only the multiplayer. And the gameplay graphics on Final Fantasy X were overhyped in my opinion, but hey, the cut scenes are nice!, errr, except for the crappy dubbing at parts =/, reminded me of a badly dubbed movie at times, lol
Anyway, just wanted to also say that graphics aren’t everything, gameplay makes the game. I mean, remember the games for the original Nintendo? Those games were really fun. Anyway, I’ve been ranting too long here now, later.July 4, 2002 at 7:21 am #101878DrachenMemberQuote:quote:Sega was way ahead of their time and they still make the very best sport sims.I agree with Jeff on this one, but they are dead now since DC are no longer made…. The only thing I didn’t like about them was the glitch in NFL2K.. If you hit a lineman or snap the ball a certain way, it’ll keep doing the sounds of the players hitting each other…. It is SO ANNOYING… but in order for the other systems (i.e. XBOX, Game Cube) to be placed higher in my terms, they have to get some/better titles than PS2… I feel no need to get those systems since the Final Fantasy Series isn’t on them… No Squaresoft/good RPGs are on them… I think I’ll buy a Gameboy Advance when some non-released (not released in the US) Squaresoft RPGs come out.. I’ve seen these games on a emulator, they are good enough to buy…

July 5, 2002 at 7:14 pm #101863imported_dantheconfusedMemberWell, there is one thing that you need to keep in mind. PS2 did have a one year head start, so of course they will have a lot more games than the other systems. I really hope they get the FFT for GBA soon, that will be a very good game if its anything like the Playstation One version.
July 6, 2002 at 3:36 pm #101876PhilMemberIf anyones played Grand Theft Auto 3, they will understand how amazing the Playstation 2 is!! its such a kickass game! sooo addictive!
July 12, 2002 at 2:47 am #101862imported_dantheconfusedMemberSorry, but i don’t believe that one single game can make a 200 dollar system worth buying, I bought Gamecube and there are quite a few games that I have and enjoy playing and many games that I am eagerly anticipating. As for Playstation 2, I am only drawn to a few choice games, = sorry.
Anyways, GTA3 is for the computer, so I could just buy that version, too bad I’m badly addicted to Warcraft 3 at the moment, heh =)July 22, 2002 at 11:19 am #101875PhilMemberyeh i didnt mean that…i meant that GTA3 was an example of a quality game for the PS2. there r many others that are excellent. but yeh i guess ur right bout the fact that u can just buy it for the PC!
