KeymasterI haven’t been in yahoo for a while, and I am returning with an IMAC. Does any one know any good mac programs that work wih yahoo? (see the cough shameless cough url post on this board to see the exact program I am interested in.)
Thanks in advance!January 3, 2005 at 4:06 pm #42691UnSaKreD
MemberHi Dana, as for your request of Mac programs, I am not entirely sure there are many MAC based programs for Yahoo! Messenger.
Although I am pretty sure there are emulators available to port win 32 to mac environment.
As is vise-a-versa.http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?FORM=MSNH&q=%22IMAC%22%20%22Windows%20Emulator%22

KeymasterThank you unskred. I went to the buddyspy today with my xp but did not install. I would rather wait until I know what exactly it is I am installing.

I used most of the programs on the link above but some of them are patched I think.I really like yaheek but I dunno if that program still works cause I was always getting kicked off mic.
I also like ytunnel http://www.ytunnelpro.com cause of the ad blocker and iggy bin and loads of other usefull things like the auto pm reject and invite blocker aswell. And that you could save all blocked pm’s and reply whenever you wanted to.
But the best client I think is yahelite and the hardest to boot it seems. And there’s loads and loads of options on that client.
One last program would be cookie studio cause it grabbs your cookie from username and password and gives you your account information. But I can’t find a link that would be acceptable to post here cause most of the sites hosting it are booter sites.

MemberI know a beta version of Yahoo web messenger (or Yahoo web-based messenger) at E-messenger.net. U can use it as long as you are connected to internet.
It is nicer than official Yahoo web messenger, doesnt require Java VM but do have banners. Anyway, it’s free and so it’s great!Use it at http://webyahoo.e-messenger.net
Anybody know other Yahoo web version?

MemberYahElite bar none… not an official yahoo program but… its related to yahoo and the most used program I have.. other than that I’d say the program to add someone to your list without them knowing is cool…

MemberAdding a person to your list without them knowing is WRONG and I am glad that Yahoo! have tried to keep up with patching this.

MemberYahoo allows anyone to see if anyone else is online. The only way to avoid this is to go to http://chat.yahoo.com and click on edit profiles and check the box that says “hide my online status” If you do not do this then it will be widely available to anyone by going to http://opi.yahoo.com/online?u=USERNAMEHERE
Put the username where it says “usernamehere” and it will show either an online or offline status indicator. It is legal. It is available. It breaks no laws. It has possitive uses such as knowing when someone who stalks you is on or offline. I do not advocate nor do I condone any illegal or innapropriate behavior. I simply feel it is a good program because it allows a person who is being stalked to at least check (in most cases) whether or not a person who is stalking them is online. In this case they can avoid or know to keep their guard up if they choose to chat. It is not wrong and that is only your opinion. All it does it is transfer http://opi.yahoo.com/online?u=USERNAMEHERE to your messenger. Not illegal. Not wrong. Good programs can be put to bad use, but it is not the program that is bad. People can use programs in a bad way-but that does not make it a bad or wrong program. Yahoo has not tried patching it because public view of online status is a persons choice.April 26, 2005 at 10:51 pm #42722master2000uk

ParticipantI dont mean to sound coy or anthing but what plus is in Yahoo+ as all i seen was links to things i already had on the messenger.
MSN plus has a phletora of options…i didn’t see many at all in this.
official BlurB “Take control of Y! Messenger, Y! Tunnel, etc.”
How exactly does one control them with Yahoo+
maybe i forgot something…
