I love the ability to run the status indicator on my server. What I don’t love is exposing the status indicator to the outside world. I’d much rather be able to code the web-based interface to the status indicator in my language of choice and talk to the status indicator on the same box via some form of object instantiation or invoking a web service hosted by the status indicator.
Thoughts?
