What features would you like to see in the next verison of Online Status Indicator?
Post your suggestions here.
Hi…
The most important thing that’s missing is a contingency plan, a backup scenario.
What I mean here:
1. let’s suppose there are 10 servers registered, offering the OSI
2. I register to one of them
3. that server is momentarily down – a way to redirect the user toward another one would be just great (this would imply, in my oppinion, am online checker of the OSI server in the first place)
What do you think: would that be possible?

This is a nice idea, but hard to implement. The problem is that the first server it connects to has to be up and running. And if it is up and running, it can deliver status immediately. We have to make sure that the OSI hosts are stable instead. 🙂 And only hosts that are up 24 hrs a day will be listed in the web ring.
