Is it possible to see if someone is blocking you, as opposed to just being offline? I know you can make another screen name and use that to see if they’re online, but what if they have “block everyone not on my buddy list” enabled?
The idea occurred to me that maybe the method AIM Express uses for getting a buddy’s info (opening a web browser to http://some.ip.address/somenumber_anothernumber) could possibly be exploited to show the info for somebody not on your buddy list…but I’m not good enough at decompiling Java to explore this. Anybody have ideas?
go to aimfiles.com and they have this thing called aim profiler write the person sn if it shows info that means he is online if it dosen’t hes off line.
“This will not work if your buddy is on buddy list only.”
I’m looking for a way to figure out if someone is online regardless of whether or not their blocking preferences are set to “only people on my buddy list can contact me.” I don’t care about IMing them or anything, just seeing if they’re online or not.
I’m wondering if David’s program called WhosOnline (https://bigblueball.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=9715) would work for this. Try it, it might take a while but it’s a good program.
That doesn’t seem to work at all, no.

It won’t tell you who is blocked, just who is invisible. Simply sign into AIM with another Screen name.
Heh, WhoBlockedMe 1.0 ™ coming soon.
