I have noticed on msn when someone sends me a file the transfer rates slow down to like 3kbs and keeps going down to like a stall..I’m behind a D-Link Router is there anyway to set up Trillian or the router to prevent this ?
oooh I have the near exact same problem, tho mine drops to 2.7 eventually if it’s a big file, ppl curse at MSN when that happens tho it’s actually trillians fault
it also happens with uploads, right? quite annoying
I have been evaluating Trillian Basic v0.74 (w/ Patch H) and find much the same thing with MSN file transfers.
File transfer is painfully slow, even ADSL/ADSL – seems to average around 2.2kbps, often failing near the end of the file.
Haven’t tested it, but presumably the other IM platforms are just as slow… has anyone any ideas?
Shoddy.
As per my post in the Yahoo! section, yes you will experience problems with MSN for file transfer. I currently own all four messengers: AOL, ICQ, MSN, and Yahoo, and only Yahoo seems to work well. If you have any thoughts on this go to the Yahoo! section and post a reply there.
