Is there a way to find all of the screen names you have registered to an email address? I can’t do the “find buddy wizard” because it tells me there are ‘too many results’.
Any other program I can use to find them out?
March 27, 2007 at 8:08 pm #159689Matt007MemberI doubt it. You may not be able to do that any more.
March 30, 2007 at 5:49 am #159690KlitzyMemberSomeone at another site said something about a program named “CoolBuddy”? Does this ring a bell with anyone? They said it’s basically a knockoff of AIM, with the only difference being having the ability to look up all names registered to an e-mail address.
April 28, 2007 at 9:03 am #159686Jon8RFCMemberIt was a leaked internal version of AIM made many years ago.
http://jon8rfc.homeip.net/aim/versions/testbuddy.zipThat works and so does unsticky’s (an old AIM enthusiast that I haven’t heard from in a very long time) unscanned:
http://jon8rfc.homeip.net/aim/unsticky/unscanned.zipTest Buddy is faster, but unscanned is concise and easy to use. I suggest using unscanned because you can’t login to Test Buddy as easily.
January 20, 2008 at 9:56 pm #159688VvWolverinevVParticipantSome multi-protocol IM clients (Pidgin and Adium X that I know of) can do this. I am interested in hiding my screen names from this search, however. If anyone knows how, please reply here.
October 22, 2008 at 9:56 pm #159691aimmerzParticipantHey everyone, I tried downloading Pidgin and couldn’t seem to find out what email was registered to a buddy SN. Also, I downloaded both Testbuddy and unScanned and could not log into either. I receive the following error message from Testbuddy:
“Error category 4, code 6”
And the following error message from unScanned:
“Runtime error ‘372’:
Failed to load control mooSock from . Your version may be outdated. Make sure you are using the version of the control that was provided with your application.”
Does anyone have, or can refer me to where I can get a working copy of either of these programs?
October 30, 2008 at 9:18 am #159692HoppusParticipantRead that post that I replied to in another topic. It’ll get ya what you need.

I’ve heard GAIM can search for screen names by e-mail address, but I’ve never used it so I can’t confirm whether this is true or not.
