OK so I have Firefox 0.9, Windows XP, Single Window 1.0 extension (if that matters), AIM 5.2.3292, and Deadaim 4.1
So opening up links from exterior applications (outside of firefox) doesn’t work properly. I’ve only tried using Microsoft Word, Excel, and AIM.
With Word, it opens up the link twice in two new tabs
With Excel, it opens up the link twice: once in a new tab in my open firefox window, and once in a new window it opens
With AIM, it opens the link up fine (ie in a single tab in the window I already have open), except two AIM windows/alerts pop up
For that second window, I’ve tried browsing and selecting firefox.exe and keeping that box checked, but all it does is open up a new tab to the link and remains the next time I try to access an AIM link.
Mostly I’m looking for you to help me with AIM, but if also you could help me fix the problem in general, that woudl be great. Thanks in advance
i’ve noticed a similar issue… I clicked a link from a program’s setup routine (for a help file) and it opened the link twice (i have the “tabextensions” extension installed) in two separate tabs… I just ignored it and closed one)
no idea why that happens
you might try resetting it as default browser. also 0.9.1 was just released so it may fix your problem.
