So yeah…I got the OSx86 (Mac on PC, no emulators or anything) and I got it running on my PC ๐ So here are links to the screens:
Darwin (like DOS) Start-up Screen
Desktop (with Keyboard Identifyer[made that name up] up)
“Bouncing” Dock Icons
Safari Internet BrowseriChat Setup
“Applications” In “Finder”“My Documents” (On Windows Drive) Being Explored
Heh…just had to add that proof in there. These are all taken with my digital camera and yeah…so enjoy! There are a few problems like it won’t see my CD drive , I don’t think the sound works, iTunes will NOT start up, wireless internet doesn’t work, and I cannot see pictures with the program “Preview” (mind you I haven’t gone into much detail on these problems yet). It’s faster than Mac OSX on the top-of-the-line Mac Mini, and is very stable, just not everything works right. Overall, I say it’s pretty cool!

November 9, 2005 at 3:24 am #133162TigerbladeParticipantwhoa. 1, clean your monitor, man!! 2, the flash gets in the way of a few of the shots.
very cool otherwise though.
November 9, 2005 at 11:52 am #133163DrBroccoliParticipantI agree, clean your monitor! That is awesome though, I just think Macs are plain sexy.

I could see this being put to use for testing my websites on Mac browsers. ๐As I said in my above post, I couldn’t get my wireless to work right off the bat. However, I’m sure if I put in a network card and took my computer upstairs (to the internet thingy), plug in a cord, it would connect to the internet. I may do that if I can’t get the wireless working. A few people have got wireless working so I know it CAN be done. Even so, if I can’t get it working with this card I have another, not as good…but still if it works ๐
And to those who said clean my monitor…heh I really should :p
November 9, 2005 at 12:44 pm #133159OreoMemberI like the screen…I think I saw some constellations on that first shot ๐ All kidding aside, that’s pretty cool ๐
November 9, 2005 at 12:53 pm #133165MrEggsaladParticipantJust shows the computer is MY universe :p
November 9, 2005 at 2:12 pm #133158Jeff HesterKeymasterThat is very cool! I’d like to get that and put it on this old pc.
