Hi guys 🙂
so I have 2 problems,1. I’m getting folder on my desktop every time I log into WLM,
the folder is “WindowsLiveMessenger” and it has inside it a TXT file named “Transport0”. searched on google and didn’t find any answer …2. I have webcam but when I’m trying to do a video call to other contact it doesn’t work both sides just see gray screen where the webcam should appear.
If first I’m just calling the moment I pressed on the call button both camera icons are gone from my MSN window and I can’t use them (as if I wouldn’t have a webcam at all).*I did the audio and video settings, didn’t help.
** I deleted my MSN completely and reinstall it and still the same 2 problems ..
plz help guys and thx alot ! 🙂

As for your webcam problem, there could be a number of reasons as to why you can’t establish the video call. Does this problem occur only with a particular contact or more? Which versions of WLM are both of you on? I’ve found that sometimes the latest version of WLM (Build 15) doesn’t play well with an older version when it comes to video calls. When you did your audio and vid setup was everything working?
Sorry for all the questions, but it would help in tracking down for a solution. And remember that sometimes the fault is at the server end, not yours.

You might try downgrading to an older version. You can find older builds on Filehippo.com
Or, if both you and your contact are on Vista or Windows 7, you could try the new beta which does have webcam functionality and it is quite good.
September 13, 2010 at 11:17 am #177192revesMemberwhat about this annoying folder that appears everytime I log in..?
September 13, 2010 at 12:06 pm #177189Doris KenneyParticipantI don’t find anything about that folder, or the transport0.txt file when you log in. Have you opened the text file in Notepad to see if it contains any actual information? You might try asking on the Windows Live Solution Center. They are geared to help answer some of the very technical questions and/or ones that pertain to specific accounts.
About the only suggestion I have is based on my own experience with a similar folder that would constantly appear on my desktop (but it was a bookmarks folder). Instead of deleting it, I finally just moved the folder inside another folder so I didn’t have to see it keep showing up. While the folder certainly still exists, it no longer appears on my desktop.
