MemberI just upgraded to 6.0 this morning. The one thing I noticed is you used to be able to right click on a buddy & select “Join User In Chat”. All of my friends use this feature to make it faster to join the chat rooms. Now it is GONE!! Does anyone know where it went & if there are plans to add it back?!?!
That was one of the main perks that made Yahoo so useful!!
Thanks,

MemberFor some reason Yahoo! took that feature out. What you can do is go into a room or make your own and then type /follow OR someone can invite you to whatever room s/he happens to be. I know it made Yahoo! easy to use with Chat but they probably had a reason to remove it (though you’d think they’d have removed follow as well!) Perhaps someone will have an add-on with the feature…but it’s gone for now.

MemberTheres a file that you can d/l called res_msgr.exe which will restore your menu settings in version 6.0 to as they were in 5. I have it pretty cool. I got it from http://www.[domain deleted – family friendly links only!] that will give you your, join user in chat back 🙂
( I just went to the site and it seems it down, but by the looks of what it said it should be back soon)

MemberTrust_no_1711 is right, that patch is awesome. I will give a direct link to it when Jeff (hopefully) takes my site link out of the banned words filter. It edits a file and brings back not only the “Follow user in chat” link, but also several other familiar links that were on the messenger 5.6 menu’s.

MemberThanks vb_packets. That worked!! You are GOOD!! The only thing that I don’t see is the option of right-clicking on a buddy & the option of View Webcam, but hey everything else is PERFECT… so no complaints.
Thank again!!!
