i have a question for u guys .. well for the new AIM version … when u make a profile or sumthin like that and u put a happy face or u bold sumthin … it makes ur regular font turn into times new roman .. does neone else notice that ? well if u do and u know how to get rid of that please tell me ! thanks a lot ! 🙂
Are you running on the newest Version of AIM? That’s build 3281. Upgrade here.
Are you sure you have the newest version? I have 5.23281 and I havent had that problem with this version..
hm i just checked and i guess i dun have that version =/ i have 5.2.3277 …. well i’m going to upgrade it and try it out .. thanks
Yeah, before I downloaded the newest version, I had that same problem. But the new one doesnt do that like the last one did.
i cant seem to upgrade to that newest version …. i get the same one i already have … a lil help ? =/

Version 5.2.3277 (the version you have now) contained a font bug so AOL did an update. I recommend going to http://www.aim.com and downloading the full install to your desktop. Uninstall your older version of AIM and then reinstall with the updated version.

yeah that font bug is really annoying – its fixed in the 3290 update, but at the expense of another bug… the away message comes up as “Autoresponse from %s” with a %s instead of your screenname – check out the thread here – https://bigblueball.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=5313
